Objective of the project:

Contribute to the enrichment and consolidation of children's knowledge about their native city, its sights and memorable places; education in children of a respectful attitude to cultural values, the history of their city; to promote the formation in children of a sense of pride in their city, love for beauty.

Project objectives:

To develop in children the need to acquire new knowledge about their native city, to teach them to see and understand the beauty and grandeur of their city. Arouse interest in new information and the desire to "extract" information about the known and unfamiliar cultural and historical values ​​​​of the native city;

To develop cognitive interest, mental activity, figurative and logical thinking, the skill of finding non-standard solutions, imagination, through the speech creation of children and familiarization with the environment; develop the creative abilities of children through various types of theatrical, visual and gaming activities;

To develop in children initiative, curiosity, the ability for creative self-expression; develop cooperation skills through involvement in various activities with children and adults;

Enrich the relationship between parents and children with the experience of dialogic emotionally rich communication and joint creative and cognitive activities

Relevance of the project topic:

Is it possible to talk about cultivating love for one's native city without giving children certain knowledge about it? Children should know that every person has a hometown, where he was born, know the sights, monuments. The main goal of the educator is to help show the children their hometown in which they live in order to arouse in them feelings of admiration, pride and love. We, educators, tell our pupils about the history of our city, about people who are its pride, teach them to be proud of the achievements of their ancestors and contemporaries. However, the practice of work shows that with traditional forms of knowledge presentation, children show intellectual passivity, they do not show interest in the reported information about the city, the desire and desire to learn something new. One of the tasks of preschool education is to make the process of learning about the past and present of our Motherland creative, developing and interesting for the child. The peculiarity of the project is that children, parents, educators took part in the project. The joint collection of materials on the topic of classes, games, competitions, presentations reveal the creative abilities of children, involve parents in the educational process. Any project is a product of cooperation between children, educators and parents.

We carried out the work to familiarize preschoolers with the history of their native land in a certain sequence.

First of all, the topics most interesting and understandable to children were revealed: historical monuments, events, outstanding personalities, the most important historical events related to the history of the city. The material of the project allows, using local history materials, to acquaint children with individual pages of the history and culture of the city of Pushkin, because we are convinced that love for the Fatherland begins with love for one's small homeland - the place where a person was born.

The project allows you to integrate information from different areas of knowledge to solve one problem and apply them in practice. Children learn to think first, and then do, draw up a plan of action, honor agreements and stick to the agreements reached. The activity of each child is aimed at achieving the intended result.

The integration of local history content with tasks for speech and cognitive development contributes to the parallel solution of many other aspects of educational work with children. Acquaintance with the native land takes place in the classroom, in everyday life, everyday life. The main content of each topic was implemented in the form of specially organized classes (this ensured consistency, systematicity, corresponded to the logic of the educational material), and the children received its concretization, deepening, clarification, additional information through other types of attractive children's activities, through other organizational forms and methodological techniques. In addition to specially organized classes, conversations, excursions, targeted walks, a large role in the implementation of this project was given to the joint activities of adults with children. The use of didactic, mobile, board, role-playing, theatrical games with children helped to form the relevant knowledge and skills. The greatest emotional response in children was caused by holidays, leisure activities, mass events that contribute to the development of patriotic feelings.

Project relevance

An integral part of any education system is the education of patriotism. Patriotism is love and affection for the Motherland, devotion to it, responsibility for it, the desire to work for its benefit, to protect and increase wealth. Patriotic education includes the transfer of knowledge to children, the formation on their basis of a value attitude towards it and the organization of activities accessible to the age. The foundation of patriotism is considered a purposeful acquaintance with the native land.

Education of love and respect for the native city is the most important component of moral and patriotic education. To educate the patriots of your city, you need to know it. Childhood can be called a time of daily discoveries. Adults should give children the joy of these discoveries, filling them with educational content, which should contribute to the formation of moral foundations and a sense of patriotism. Expanding the horizons of the cognizable, we plant in the hearts of pupils a spark of love for the native land, for the Motherland.

Thus, for the success of working with pupils to get acquainted with the city where they live, it was decided to apply the project method.

During the implementation of the project, the pupils will gain knowledge about beautiful places. One should not expect from them adult forms of showing love for their native city, but if, during the implementation of the project, the pupils acquire knowledge about the history of the city, symbols, sights, know the names of those who founded and glorified the city, begin to show interest in the events of city life and reflect their impressions in productive activities, then we can assume that the goals and objectives of the project have been fulfilled. They should have a sense of pride in their city and a desire to keep it clean and beautiful.

2 Introduction Every person has a place on Earth where he was born. And each place is beautiful and unique in its own way. Our city is also unique in its sights. There are a lot of such places, but not everyone, especially schoolchildren, knows about them. I decided to study the history and sights of my city, and then tell the guys about it. After all, many moral qualities of a person are laid down in childhood, and you need to learn to love your homeland from school. Therefore, this problem is relevant, and I present my research project on the topic: "Sights of the city of Medvezhyegorsk." Purpose: to study information about the sights of the city of Medvezhyegorsk for subsequent presentation with information to peers. Tasks: 1. To study the history of the native city of Medvezhyegorsk with its sights; 2. Find out the opinion of citizens about the most popular public places in our city through a survey among classmates, students of grade 8 "B", teachers of the Medvezhyegorsk secondary school 2; 3. They buried a pet on a sandy hill, which has since been called Bear Mountain. Subsequently, the railway station adopted the apt name. In the 30s of the XX century, the formation of the workers' settlement continued: the famous White Sea - Baltic Canal, better known as the White Sea Canal, passed through it. Medvezhya Gora Station turned into a city in 1938. Now Medvezhyegorsk is a quiet cozy town on the shores of Lake Onega, there is something to see and where to go. 2

3 There are many attractions in the city itself. The first one can be called the building of the railway station, built in 1916, it recently turned 100 years old. There is a Museum of the history of railway transport. The museum tells not only about the history of the Oktyabrskaya railway, but also about the city itself and its environs. Also of interest is the City Museum of Local Lore, which is located in the former building of the White Sea Canal Administration of the NKVD of the USSR, the building was built in 1937. The attraction of the city is the Fortified area on Mount Lysukha. Having captured Medvezhyegorsk in 1941, the Finns immediately began to build strongholds and fortifications everywhere. The buildings were built by the hands of our own prisoners of war. Defensive fortifications have been preserved almost in their original form. A monument to the fallen heroes of the war was erected on Kirov Street. 1015 fighters are buried in the mass grave. In 1958, a monument to Kirov was unveiled on Dzerzhinsky Street, hence the name of the square itself. If you walk from the station to the Onezhskaya Hotel, which is also an attraction, you can walk along a beautiful wooden footbridge. The bridge bears the romantic name "Kissing Bridge". It links the two banks of the Kumsa River and leads to the Railway Park. And the bridge, and the railway park, and the city park are also sights of the city. There are several bear sculptures in the city, as this animal is the symbol of the city. If you enter the city along the highway, you can meet another sculpture. The statue is made of natural wood, and an ordinary stone served as a pedestal. In his front paws he holds bread and salt, and above his head is an image of the coat of arms of Medvezhyegorsk. Medvezhyegorsk is a place of good rest. Such sports as skiing, skiing, snowboarding are very popular among the local population and guests of the city. Hunters and fishermen love these places. Questioning on the topic of the study I was wondering if the inhabitants of our city know about these sights. To achieve this goal, I conducted an anonymous survey and received the following results. In the course of the study, 66 people were interviewed: 3 "B" class 27 people, 8 "B" class 20 people, teachers 19 people. (Annex 1). During the survey, I found out that 68% of the respondents were born in Medvezhyegorsk, and 32% in other parts of our country (Appendix 2). To the question "Do you like our city?": "Yes" - answered 92%, and 8%, unfortunately, answered "no" (Appendix 3). 3

4 To the question "Do you know the history of Medvezhyegorsk?": "Yes" answered 62%, and 38% answered "no". Basically, these were students of the 3rd "B" class (Appendix 4). There were many answers to the question "What sights of our city do you know?" I chose five of the most popular (Appendix 5): a fortified area on Mount Lysukha 57%; the station building at Medvezhya Gora station 25%; local history museum of the city 24%; tank on Kirov Square 20%; the building of the former Office of the White Sea Canal of the NKVD of the USSR 20%; monument to Sergei Mironovich Kirov 16%. In addition, such attractions as the House of Culture, the Druzhba cinema building, mass graves, Onega Lake, the city park, the railway transport museum, the House of Children's Creativity, Kizhi Island, the Sandarmokh tract were also proposed. To the question "What places in the city of Medvezhyegorsk would you recommend visiting for guests or tourists?" many answers were also offered. I chose the five most popular ones (Appendix 6): local history museum of the city 38%; fortified area on Mount Lysukha 36%; the shore of Lake Onega and the lake itself 23%; urban park 18%; tract Sandarmokh 15%. Conclusion During the work on the project, I was able to expand my knowledge about the history of the city of Medvezhyegorsk, learned a lot of interesting facts that residents should be proud of. The results of the questionnaire showed that not all respondents know the history of their city, some sights of the city were not named. Particularly meager answers were among the third-graders. My hypothesis was confirmed, indeed, in the city of Medvezhyegorsk there are sights that may interest everyone. An analysis of the questionnaires showed that, indeed, not all sights were mentioned, but not because the majority of the respondents do not know them, but because residents habitually treat many such places and objects, do not pay any attention to them. In order for schoolchildren to know and remember every corner of their city, it is necessary to remember and pay attention to the uniqueness of these places more often.
